The city of Granada is placed at the foot of the stunning Sierra Neveda mountain range at an elevation of 738 meters above sea level yet only one hour from the Mediterranean coast. It has a population of around 236,982 about 3.3% of the population do not hold Spanish citizenship, the largest number of these (31%) coming from South America.

One of the most famous landmarks to see is the beautiful Alhambra palace, it is one of the most famous items of the Islamic historical legacy that makes Granada a hot spot among cultural and tourist cities in Spain. Granada is also well-known within Spain due to the prestigious University of Granada and, nowadays, vibrant night-life. A City well worth a visit for its outstanding architecture, shopping and fantastic tapas.
